InviziPoll vs Candora
Candora is a managed anonymous survey service: it sends the invitations, collects the answers and hands HR a finished report, with no setting that lets HR see who said what. It's a strong promise, and it's kept by Candora holding your answers and choosing not to show them. InviziPoll keeps the same promise a different way: answers are encrypted on each person's device, so there's nothing for us, or you, to hold back.
Choose Candora if you want someone else to run the survey and hand leadership a finished report, and a promise that HR never reads a comment is enough. Choose InviziPoll if you want an answer nobody can tie to a person, Candora and us included, at a flat price that doesn't grow with headcount.
- Both stop HR seeing who said what. Candora does it by holding answers and not showing them; InviziPoll encrypts them so nobody holds a readable copy.
- Candora is $2 per employee a month, so $500 for 250 people. InviziPoll Pro is $49 a month for the workspace.
- Candora runs the survey and writes the report. InviziPoll is the tool you run yourself, with pulses and a speak-up channel included.

Best for
InviziPoll
HR leads, founders and consultants who want to run anonymous pulses, exit feedback and a speak-up channel themselves, and be able to tell staff that nobody, the vendor included, can see who said what.
Best for
Candora
HR teams at small and mid-sized organisations that want an outside service to run the survey, write the findings and recommend next steps, without anyone in-house handling the data.

Answers are encrypted on each person's own device before they're sent. We store no name, email, IP address or time next to an answer, so there's no link to find, for us, for you, or for anyone who gets into either.
A boundary inside Candora's system. Answers sit in a restricted layer linked to each person's invitation, and HR only ever sees reports built from a separate results layer.
None. There's no export with a row per person, and no setting that would put a name on an answer.
None. HR has no anonymity switch, no raw-response view and no way to recut results.
Nobody can see who has or hasn't answered, only how many, and we can't either.
HR sees each invited person's completion status, which helps with reminders.
Shown word for word, shuffled and undated. Anyone who'd rather not be read can send only the topics they pick. Summaries are drafted in the admin's own browser; no answer goes to an AI provider.
HR never reads them. They're turned into themes, each backed by at least three people, and may be processed by AI providers such as Anthropic or OpenAI to do it.
Nothing shows until the poll's minimum group size has answered, a number you choose that's never below three. While it's open, the first results appear three answers past that number, then new answers arrive in random groups of three to five. A few answers are always held in reserve until the poll closes, so no one's answer can be picked out.
After the survey closes, with any result backed by fewer than three answers hidden.
Breakdowns by department, location or tenure, from your contact list or a demographic question, appear once the poll closes, for groups of five or more (or your minimum group size, if that's higher). One that could be worked out by subtraction is left out.
Reporting groups you set when you add people, each hidden below three answers.
You run it: AI help writing the poll, a link or emailed access codes, live results and a published summary. Pulses, exit feedback and a speak-up channel you can reply on sit in the same workspace.
Candora sends invitations and reminders, analyses the answers and delivers a board-ready report with recommended follow-up areas.
$49 a month per workspace, not per employee, with 14 days free and a free plan after.
$2 per employee a month, $100 minimum, unlimited surveys. No free plan.

Is Candora anonymous?
To your employer, yes: Candora has no setting that lets HR see who said what, hides any result with fewer than three answers, and never shows comments word for word. Candora itself keeps each answer linked to the person's invitation, with its submission time, in a restricted part of its system, and HR can see who has completed the survey. By Candora's own definition, a survey that keeps that link but limits who can see it is confidential, not strictly anonymous. InviziPoll's answers are encrypted on each person's device, so there's no link to keep.
Which one should you pick?
If both tools could technically run your poll, let the default assumption decide.
Choose InviziPoll when
- You want to tell staff that nobody, the vendor included, can tie an answer to them.
- You don't want answers sent to an AI company to be summarised.
- You want a price that doesn't grow with headcount: Pro at $49 costs less than Candora's $100 minimum, and Business at $249 is cheaper from 125 people up.
Keep Candora when
- You want someone else to send the survey, chase replies and write the report.
- You'd rather HR never read a comment at all, only themes.
- You want reminders aimed at the people who haven't answered yet.
How each vendor thinks about cost
InviziPoll
Pro is $49 a month per workspace: send each poll to up to 2,000 people, with five admins. Business is $249 a month ($199 billed annually) and adds SSO, SCIM provisioning and SIEM webhooks. You pay per workspace, not per employee. Every new workspace gets 14 days free with no credit card, and Enterprise is quoted.

$2 per employee a month, billed in USD and prorated, with a $100 monthly minimum covering 50 people. The membership sets how many people each survey can include, up to 2,000 self-serve, and surveys are unlimited. There's no free plan.
It's anonymous to your employer, and HR can't switch that off. Candora itself keeps each answer linked to the person's invitation, in a restricted part of its system, so it can stop duplicate answers and place people in the right group. HR sees who has completed the survey but not what they said. The full answer is at /blog/is-candora-anonymous.
Candora is $2 per employee a month with a $100 minimum, so a survey of 250 people costs $500 a month and 500 people costs $1,000. InviziPoll Pro is $49 a month for the workspace, for polls of up to 2,000 people. Business, with SSO and SCIM, is $249 a month ($199 billed annually). Candora runs the survey and writes the report for you, which InviziPoll doesn't, so compare the work you'd be buying too. See /pricing.
No. HR never reads a Candora comment: written answers are turned into themes, and a theme needs at least three people behind it. InviziPoll shows written answers word for word, shuffled and undated, and anyone who'd rather not be read can send just the topics they pick instead of their words. See /docs/docs-send-topics-instead-of-your-words.
Candora's privacy policy says written answers may be processed by AI providers such as Anthropic or OpenAI to turn them into themes and findings. InviziPoll never sends an answer to an AI provider: summaries are drafted by a small model running in the admin's own browser, after it has decrypted the answers. See /docs/docs-on-device-ai-summaries.
Copy the questions from your Candora survey and paste them in. On plans with AI authoring, InviziPoll turns the pasted text into a draft poll and shows you everything it found before anything's saved. Only questions come across: past responses stay where they are. See /docs/docs-importing-questions-from-another-tool.
Send them /trust/anonymity, which says in plain language what we can and can't see, and link it from the invitation. When results are ready you can publish them as a signed summary anyone can check hasn't been edited. Before you send anything, open the sample poll in a new workspace: it shows you exactly what an admin sees, which is the same thing you'd be promising your team.
