InviziPoll vs Lattice

Competitor facts verified 2026-09-30

Lattice is a people platform, performance and goals first, with engagement surveys at $4 a seat. Its anonymous mode is real, and it's a setting: an admin can turn on individual-response export, and the threshold can be lowered after a survey closes. InviziPoll has no such switch, because nothing that could link an answer to a person is ever stored.

Bottom lineChoose Lattice if you want surveys inside the same platform as reviews and goals. Choose InviziPoll when the answer matters more than the platform, and your team needs to be sure nobody can trace it.

At a glance

  • Lattice surveys are anonymous or identifiable, and admins can change what anonymous means with export and threshold settings.
  • Lattice's threshold can be edited while a survey runs or after it ends. InviziPoll has no setting that puts a name back on an answer.
  • Lattice Engagement is $4 a seat a month, with a $4,000 annual minimum. InviziPoll Pro is $49 a month per workspace.

InviziPoll

Best for

InviziPoll

HR leads and founders who want anonymous pulses, exit feedback and a speak-up channel with no setting that can weaken them, and companies too small for a $4,000 minimum.

LT

Best for

Lattice

Companies that want engagement surveys in the same place as performance reviews, goals, one-on-ones and compensation, and value one people platform over a specialist tool.

How anonymity works
InviziPoll

Answers are encrypted on each person's own device before they're sent. We store no name, email, IP address or time next to an answer, so there's no link to find, for us, for you, or for anyone who gets into either.

Lattice

Each survey is anonymous or identifiable. Anonymous results are aggregated and hidden below a threshold.

Settings that change the promise
InviziPoll

None. There's no export with a row per person, and no setting that would put a name on an answer.

Lattice

Individual-response export (which can include manager and department), and a threshold editable during or after the survey.

Small groups
InviziPoll

Nothing shows until the poll's minimum group size has answered, a number you choose that's never below three. While it's open, the first results appear three answers past that number, then new answers arrive in random groups of three to five. A few answers are always held in reserve until the poll closes, so no one's answer can be picked out.

Lattice

A threshold from three to ten respondents, five by default.

Exit and onboarding surveys
InviziPoll

Anonymous, like everything else. An always-open exit pool collects leavers' answers and releases them in random groups of three to five.

Lattice

Identifiable: responses are linked to the employee's name.

What admins see
InviziPoll

You see every chart and read every written answer word for word, shuffled and undated. You can't see who answered, who didn't, or in what order.

Lattice

Aggregates in anonymous surveys; individual responses in identifiable ones.

Breakdowns
InviziPoll

Breakdowns by department, location or tenure, from your contact list or a demographic question, appear once the poll closes, for groups of five or more (or your minimum group size, if that's higher). One that could be worked out by subtraction is left out.

Lattice

Filters on employee attributes from Lattice, above the threshold.

Platform
InviziPoll

Anonymous employee feedback only, and it works alongside whatever you use for reviews.

Lattice

Performance, goals, one-on-ones, compensation and engagement in one place.

Running it for clients
InviziPoll

One login across a workspace per client, each owned by the client with its own key. Your firm's name sits beside the client's on the ballot, and nobody, you included, can tie an answer to a person.

Lattice

Certified fractional HR leaders earn a referral fee on clients they bring to Lattice. A login for consultants across several clients isn't published.

Lattice capabilities vary by plan and configuration - confirm specifics against their current documentation.

Anonymity

Lattice vs InviziPoll on anonymity

Yes, when a survey is set to anonymous, and Lattice uses that word itself. Results are aggregated and hidden below a threshold of three to ten, five by default. Two settings change the promise: an admin can enable export of individual responses, which can still carry manager and department, and the threshold can be edited while the survey runs or after it closes. When export is on, Lattice changes the respondent label from "Your answers are anonymous" to "Your privacy is protected". Onboarding and exit surveys are identifiable.

Choosing well

Which one should you pick?

If both tools could technically run your poll, let the default assumption decide.

Choose InviziPoll when

  • You want an anonymity promise no admin setting can weaken after the fact.
  • Exit and onboarding feedback needs to be anonymous too.
  • You're too small for a $4,000 minimum, or you only need the surveys.

Choose Lattice when

  • You want surveys in the same platform as reviews, goals and one-on-ones.
  • You need identifiable surveys tied to performance data.
  • Lattice's anonymous mode, with export off and the threshold left alone, is enough for your questions.

Pricing philosophy

How each vendor thinks about cost

InviziPoll

Pro is $49 a month per workspace: send each poll to up to 2,000 people, with five admins. Business is $199 a month and adds SSO, SCIM provisioning and SIEM webhooks. You pay per workspace, not per employee. Every new workspace gets 14 days free with no credit card, and Enterprise is quoted.

Lattice

Engagement is $4 per seat a month. Performance is $10 and Goals $8, or $13 together. The minimum annual agreement is $4,000, and every contract is billed annually.

Common questions

How does Lattice compare with InviziPoll on anonymity?
Its anonymous surveys are, with two settings to watch: individual-response export, and a threshold that can be lowered after the fact. Onboarding and exit surveys are identifiable. The full answer is at /blog/is-lattice-anonymous.
Can we run InviziPoll alongside Lattice?
Yes, and it's how I'd start. Keep Lattice for performance reviews, goals and one-on-ones. Use InviziPoll for the questions where people won't be honest unless they're sure nobody can trace them: harassment, trust in leadership, a reorg, why people are leaving. Pricing is per workspace, so adding it doesn't mean paying for every employee twice.
What does each cost for a 50-person company?
Lattice Engagement at $4 a seat would be $2,400 a year, but Lattice's minimum annual agreement is $4,000. InviziPoll Pro is $588 a year ($49 a month) for the workspace, whether you have 20 people or 2,000. Check /pricing and Lattice's own pricing page for your case, since Lattice bundles change what you'd pay.
How do we move our questions over from Lattice?
Copy the questions from your Lattice survey and paste them in. On plans with AI authoring, InviziPoll turns the pasted text into a draft poll, questions and options included, and shows you everything it found before anything's saved. Without AI, paste one question per line. Only questions come across: past responses stay where they are, because we can't import answers we'd be able to read. See /docs/docs-importing-questions-from-another-tool.
How do I show my team it's actually anonymous?
Send them /trust/anonymity, which says in plain language what we can and can't see, and link it from the invitation. When results are ready you can publish them as a signed summary anyone can check hasn't been edited. And before you send anything, open the sample poll in a new workspace: it takes about two minutes and shows you exactly what an admin sees, which is the same thing you'd be promising your team.
Can a consultant run InviziPoll for several clients?
Yes. The consultants and agencies licence gives one login across a separate workspace per client, and each workspace belongs to the client from day one, with its own key. The consultant reads the results, written comments included. What nobody can do, the consultant included, is tie an answer to a person, which is what lets a consultant tell a client's staff it's anonymous and mean it. See /for-consultants.
