AI poll building
InviziPoll can help you draft, refine, and polish polls using AI—always under your control. You review every change; nothing is sent to respondents until you publish.
Privacy first — Only admin-typed draft text and instructions are sent to the model. Encrypted respondent answers are not used as model input. See What is sent to the AI provider below.
Where to find it
- Start from a prompt: On
Polls, useNew poll→With AI(when available). You describe the survey; the app generates a draft you can preview and apply into the poll builder. - Co-pilot in the wizard: While creating or editing a poll, open the AI co-pilot from the floating control or with ⌘K / Ctrl+K (desktop). Use it to refine the whole poll with follow-up instructions (for example, “add one more multiple-choice question about remote work”).
- Improve one question: On a question card in the
Questionsstep, use the AI improve action to rewrite wording or options for that question only.
If you do not see these entry points, AI poll building may not be enabled for your deployment—check with your workspace owner or InviziPoll support.
Workspace consent (one-time)
Before the workspace can use AI features, an owner or admin must accept the AI terms in the in-product AI consent flow. Until then, AI actions return a clear “consent required” state. Granting consent is recorded in the workspace audit log; it is not repeated for every generate or refine.
What is sent to the AI provider
Only text you type as a workspace admin in AI flows—poll titles, question text, options, and your instructions—is sent to our AI provider. Respondent answers are never sent to the model; they stay end-to-end encrypted as always.
Three kinds of AI help
| Capability | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Generate | Builds a full draft poll from your prompt (optional tone, audience, and target question count) | Empty canvas or a fast first pass |
| Refine | Updates the current draft based on a chat message; may show a diff you accept or reject | After you have a saved draft (the server must know the poll id) |
| Improve | Rewrites a single question and may suggest options | Tweaking one card without changing the rest |
Refine needs the poll saved as a draft on the server. If you only have a local preview, apply the generated content first so the draft exists, then use the co-pilot.
Improve uses a separate daily budget from generate/refine (see below).
Daily limits and fairness
Usage limits are per plan, enforced per 24-hour window (the window starts when the workspace first uses AI in that period—it is not always midnight UTC). Limits apply at the workspace level, and there is also a per-admin guard so a single person cannot use the entire workspace budget alone.
Generation budget (each generate or refine uses one unit from this pool):
| Plan | Generations / day (generate + refine combined) |
|---|---|
| Free / trial | 5 |
| Pro | 25 |
| Business | 100 |
| Enterprise | 1,000 |
Single-question improve (separate pool):
| Plan | Improves / day |
|---|---|
| Free / trial | 25 |
| Pro | 100 |
| Business | 500 |
| Enterprise | 5,000 |
When you hit a cap, the app shows when the current window resets and you can keep editing manually without losing your draft. Higher tiers and upgrades are offered where applicable. Your in-app usage indicator and Billing, trial, and tier limits are authoritative if numbers change.
Review, diff, and safety
- Preview and apply: After generate, review the proposed poll before it becomes your wizard state.
- Structural changes: Large refines may surface a warning when many questions or options would change; accept or reject deliberately.
- Anonymity: AI suggestions are steered to respect InviziPoll’s anonymity and anti-inference rules (for example, avoiding “which VP…” style items that would invite small-group identification). The Anonymity Coach in the wizard still applies to your final content.
Respondent languages
InviziPoll does not auto-translate your poll for respondents. They can use the browser’s page translation (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) on the response page. Your encrypted responses stay keyed to stable question and option ids.
