How AI credits work in InviziPoll: what one credit buys, what a pasted form costs, the daily limits on each plan, and what monthly AI capacity means.

AI in InviziPoll only ever sees the questions you are writing. It never sees a response, because responses are encrypted in the respondent's browser and the server holds ciphertext it cannot read.
Every paid plan includes AI authoring: drafting a poll from a prompt, polishing one you already have, and reviewing individual questions for bias and clarity. This page explains what those actions cost against your workspace's allowance, so nothing about the limits comes as a surprise mid-poll.
Two pools, not one
AI work is counted in two separate daily pools per workspace.
Full-poll AI covers the actions that write or rewrite a whole poll: generating a draft from a prompt, and polishing or expanding an existing one.
Per-question AI covers the smaller actions: rewriting one question, and each question in a bias and clarity review.
They are counted separately on purpose. A bias review of a 20-question poll spends 20 per-question credits and no full-poll credits, so reviewing a long survey never costs you the ability to draft a new one.
Both pools reset 24 hours after your workspace's first AI action of the cycle, not at midnight. The usage chip in the poll builder shows both, with the exact time until the reset.

The free plan does not include AI authoring. During your trial you get the evaluation allowance in the first row, which is sized so you can import a real survey and review every question in it.
What a pasted form costs
Most AI actions cost one credit. Pasting a form into Import questions is the exception, because it is much larger than the others: one paste can carry 20,000 characters of someone else's survey.
A paste costs one per-question credit for every 2,000 characters, rounded up. A short form of 1,500 characters costs one credit; a full-size 20,000-character paste costs ten. The import screen shows the cost before you send it, and the number it shows is the number you are charged.
Uploading a file instead is always free. Typeform, SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics exports, plus CSV and JSON, are read by a parser rather than by a model, so they cost no credits at all and have no daily limit beyond the general import rate limit. If you have an export from your current tool, use it.
During a trial, pasted imports also draw on a lifetime allowance of ten credits for the whole trial, which is one full-size paste. File uploads are not affected.
Monthly AI capacity
Alongside the daily pools, every workspace has a monthly AI capacity. You can see it as a percentage in the AI usage chip in the poll builder, with the date it resets: the 1st of each month.
Capacity is sized well above what a workspace using AI normally reaches, and most workspaces never see it. It exists so that a runaway script or an unusual month cannot produce a surprise for either of us. If you consistently reach it, that is a signal your plan is the wrong size rather than a problem with your account, and we will suggest one that fits.
If you do reach it, nothing else in InviziPoll stops. Polls keep running, results keep arriving, and you can keep building and editing by hand. Only the AI actions pause, until the 1st.
Enterprise plans can have capacity set to a specific figure as part of the contract. Ask your account manager.

If an AI action fails and you get an error rather than a result, the credit is returned. You are never charged for something you did not receive.
Frequently asked questions
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Both daily pools reset on their own cycle, and the monthly capacity resets on the 1st. Nothing accumulates.
Are the limits per workspace or per person?
Both. Each pool has a workspace limit and a per-admin limit, so one person cannot spend a whole team's allowance in an afternoon. The chip shows the workspace figure, which is the one that usually runs out first.
What happens to my text when I use AI?
Question text you write, and text you paste into an AI import, is sent to Anthropic to produce the result. Responses are never sent, because they are encrypted in the respondent's browser and cannot be read by the server. See AI poll authoring for the full data boundary.
Can I turn AI off for my workspace?
Yes. AI authoring requires a workspace-level consent that an owner grants, and it can be withdrawn. Ask support if you want it disabled entirely.
Do the daily numbers ever change?
They can. This page is where they live, so it is the page to check rather than the pricing page. If a limit changes in a way that reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you before it happens.
