Daily AI limits for each InviziPoll plan, what a pasted form costs in credits, how the trial allowance works, and what monthly AI capacity means for you.

AI poll authoring only ever sees the questions you're writing. It never sees a response: answers are encrypted in the respondent's browser and the server holds only ciphertext; the one AI feature that reads answers, on-device summaries, runs inside your own browser, so no answer leaves it.
Trials and paid plans include AI authoring: drafting a poll from a prompt, polishing one you already have, and reviewing individual questions for bias and clarity. This page is the one place the AI numbers live, so nothing about the limits comes as a surprise mid-poll.
#Two pools, not one
AI work is counted in two separate daily pools per workspace.
Full-poll AI covers the actions that write or rewrite a whole poll: generating a draft from a prompt, and polishing or expanding an existing one.
Per-question AI covers the smaller actions: rewriting one question, each question in a bias and clarity review, and reading a pasted form into questions.
They're counted separately on purpose. A bias review of a 20-question poll spends 20 per-question credits and no full-poll credits, so reviewing a long survey never costs you the ability to draft a new one.
Both pools reset 24 hours after your workspace's first AI action of the cycle, not at midnight. The usage chip in the poll builder shows both, with the time until the reset.

The free plan doesn't include AI authoring, and neither does a trial that has ended without a subscription. A trial gets the same daily allowances as Pro, so you can import a real survey of up to 50 questions and review every question in it.
A client workspace sponsored by a consultants licence gets its AI from that licence, with its own daily counters and monthly capacity.
#What a pasted form costs
Most AI actions cost one credit. Pasting a form into Import questions is the exception, because it's much larger than the others: one paste can carry 20,000 characters of someone else's survey.
A paste costs one per-question credit for every 2,000 characters, rounded up, measured after we strip extra whitespace and repeated page headers. A short form of 1,500 characters costs one credit; a full-size 20,000-character paste costs ten. The import screen shows the cost before you send it, and you're charged only if questions are found.
Uploading a file instead is always free. Typeform, SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics exports, plus CSV and JSON, are read by a parser rather than a model, so they cost no credits at all. If you have an export from your current tool, use it. On a workspace without AI authoring, a paste is read line by line in your browser, also free. See Importing questions from another tool.
During a trial, pasted imports also draw on an allowance of forty credits for the whole trial, which is four full-size pastes. File uploads aren't affected.
#Monthly AI capacity
Alongside the daily pools, every workspace has a monthly AI capacity. You see it as a percentage in the AI usage chip in the poll builder, with the date it resets: the 1st of each month, UTC.
Capacity is sized well above what a workspace using AI normally reaches, and most workspaces never see it. It exists so that a runaway script or an unusual month can't produce a surprise for either of us. If you consistently reach it, that's a signal your plan is the wrong size rather than a problem with your account, and we'll suggest one that fits.
If you do reach it, nothing else in InviziPoll stops. Polls keep running, results keep arriving, and you can keep building and editing by hand. Only the AI actions pause, until the 1st.
Enterprise plans can have capacity set to a specific figure as part of the contract. Ask your account manager.

If an AI action fails and you get an error rather than a result, the credit is returned. You're never charged for something you didn't receive.

No. Both daily pools reset on their own cycle, and the monthly capacity resets on the 1st. Nothing accumulates.
Both. The pools are per workspace, and that's the figure the chip shows. In a workspace with two or more admins, each person can also use at most half of each daily pool (rounded up), so one person can't spend a whole team's allowance alone. A workspace with one admin gets the whole pool, and the per-question pool never drops below 50 a day for anyone while the workspace has that many, so you can always review a full imported survey. If you work in several client workspaces under a consultants licence, your personal allowance is shared across all of them.
Question text you write, and text you paste into an AI import, is sent to Anthropic to produce the result. Responses are never sent, because they're encrypted in the respondent's browser. On-device summaries read answers only inside your own browser, and nothing about them is sent to us or to any AI provider. AI authoring needs a one-time workspace consent, which an owner or admin grants in the product (new workspaces accept it at signup). There's no switch in the product to withdraw it, so ask support and we'll withdraw it for you. AI authoring stops for everyone in the workspace straight away, and it's recorded in your audit log. To turn it back on, an owner or admin accepts the AI terms again in the product.
On-device summaries are separate: nothing runs until an admin chooses to download the model in their own browser, and Settings lets them remove it.
