Sign up, workspace URL, and secure handoff
What the InviziPoll sign-up form asks for, how your workspace address is picked from your company name, and where you land once your workspace is ready.

Your workspace address (slug) becomes part of the URL for your team's admin and poll experience. InviziPoll derives it from your company name, but you can edit it during sign-up; choose something stable you can share in IT runbooks, not something you'll want to change next month.
You create a workspace from the InviziPoll website: use Get started or Sign up on the main site. When you finish, InviziPoll sets up your workspace and brings you into its admin app.
#What the form asks for
The sign-up form is a single step, in this order:

You also tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you sign up with a personal address (Gmail, Outlook and similar), Company may start empty, so fill it in yourself.
#Your workspace address
You don't have to pick the address. As you type your company name, InviziPoll derives the slug, checks it's free, and shows the result as a preview line:

If that address is taken, it adds a number automatically (acme becomes acme-2) and keeps going. You only have to think about it if you want to.
Select edit to set the address yourself. The field also appears on its own if a company name gives nothing usable, or if the automatic numbering runs out of tries.
Addresses must be 3-48 characters, start with a letter, end with a letter or number, and use only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
#What happens next
InviziPoll creates your workspace and signs you in. Follow any on-screen prompts.
The first time you open the admin app, InviziPoll makes a labelled sample poll with made-up answers and shows you its results, so you can see what an unlocked poll looks like before anyone has answered. See See sample results without recruiting anyone.

#Signing in on another device
Your workspace keys live in your browser, so a new device has to be let in. Sign in there, then approve it from one of your own signed-in devices, or confirm your email and enter your password or recovery key. Only you can approve your devices: no owner or admin can approve one for you.
Your key backup is locked in your browser before it reaches us, with your password or your recovery key. Nothing we store can open it. Your recovery key never reaches us at all. See Recovery, emergency kit, and device handoff.
