What happens when your trial ends

Your data is not deleted when the 14-day trial ends. What you keep, what needs a paid plan, and how already-sent polls behave on the free tier.

New workspaces get a 14-day trial. If it ends without a paid subscription, the workspace moves to the free tier. This page is about what that actually feels like.

What you keep

You keepDetail
Signing inEvery admin keeps their login
Reading polls and resultsUnlocking aggregates, unchanged
Creating and editing pollsUp to 3 live polls at a time
Sharing by link and QROpen link, QR asset pack, pulse presets
ExportsOf any results you can already read
On-device AI summariesRuns in your browser; not plan-gated

Decryption happens in your browser with your keys, and the end of a trial does not touch them.

What needs a paid plan

FeatureOn free after trial
AI poll authoring (generate, refine, improve)Not available
Bulk distribution (email invitations, Slack sends, access-code batches)Not available
Recurring pulse seriesNot available
Anonymous two-way repliesNot available
Share a slice (manager snapshots)Not available
Folder creationNot available
SSO, verified domains, SIEM, SCIMNot available
More than 3 live pollsNot available
Admin seats beyond 1Not available

In the poll builder this shows up as the email and Slack panels being paywalled while everything else, including the open link, the QR asset pack, and publishing, works as before.

Attempting one of these returns a clear upgrade prompt rather than a generic error. Open AdminSubscription to upgrade; access returns immediately on a successful checkout.

Polls you already sent

A poll that is already live stays live and keeps collecting responses. Recipients who have a link can still respond, and the responses are still encrypted to your keys.

What you lose is the ability to send more invitations in bulk from that poll. If you need to reach additional people while on the free tier, share the respondent link directly.

The free tier's quotas

LimitFree
Admins1
Polls3

Recipients per poll50
Access-code recipients per poll25

The poll cap counts live polls: polls that are open and have not expired or been closed. If your workspace has more than that when the trial ends — say you ran 12 polls during the trial — nothing is deleted. You keep and can read all 12, and you can create a new one as soon as fewer than three of them are still live. Closed and expired polls never count, and neither does the sample poll.

Exempt workspaces

A small number of workspaces are marked exempt by our team, usually long-lived or grandfathered accounts. An exempt workspace has no trial end date and behaves like an entitled workspace, including keeping AI poll authoring at the free-tier caps.

This is why two workspaces both showing "Free" can behave differently: the gate is the workspace's entitlement, not the plan label. AdminSubscription shows what applies to you.
