Inviting a team member

Add colleagues to your InviziPoll workspace as admins or members, see how many seats your plan allows, and what each role can do once they accept.

Bring collaborators into your workspace with controlled roles. Invites respect your plan's seat limit; Owners and admins can send invites; what each role can do is summarized below and covered in full in Roles and permissions (RBAC).

#Prerequisites

  • You're signed in as an owner or admin.
  • You have a free seat. At the limit the invite button is disabled, with the note Seat limit reached. Please upgrade your plan to invite more team members.
  • You know whether the person should be an Admin or a Member. Owner can't be given through an invite.
Good to know

Pick the least privilege that still lets the person do their job. Billing and workspace-destructive actions stay with the owner.

  1. Open Admin → Users. In the sidebar choose Admin, then the Users tab.
  2. Start an invite. Click Invite team member.
  3. Enter email and role. Add the colleague's email and choose Admin or Member.
  4. Send the invite. They get an email to accept and finish signing in.
  5. They accept. From then on they work within their role. Billing and workspace settings stay with the owner.
  6. Optional: review Roles. The Roles tab shows what each base role can do, such as Invite Users, Remove Users and Change Roles.

#Permissions snapshot

  • Owner (one per workspace): billing, workspace settings, deleting the workspace, role changes, and identity features such as SSO where your plan has them.
  • Admin: invite people and manage polls and folders within policy. Can't override owner-only billing or workspace settings.
  • Member: day-to-day poll work without team management, workspace settings or billing.

#Seat limits

The Users tab shows Admin seats as used out of allowed. Free has 1 seat, Pro 5, Business 25 and Enterprise 1,000; a trial gets Pro's 5. When you're at the limit, upgrade or remove someone before inviting more. Sending invites needs an active plan or trial. See Billing, trial, and tier limits.

#Collaboration after invite

Shared work usually happens through team folders, so collaborators can administer the same polls without swapping keys or passwords outside the product. See Setting up team folders. For security depth, read Security.

Inviting a colleague doesn't change what anyone can see about respondents. Results still wait for each poll's minimum group size, written answers are still shuffled and undated, and nobody on the team can tell who said what.
