The consultants and agencies licence
What the practitioner licence includes, what counts as an engagement, how extra engagements are billed, and what happens to a client workspace when the licence lapses.
On this page
The consultants and agencies licence lets one login run anonymous surveys for several client companies, with a separate workspace for each. It sits on your workspace, not on theirs. Your clients never get a bill from us.
What the licence includes
| Piece | What it means |
|---|---|
| Annual licence | $3,588 a year, on your own workspace. |
| Included engagements | Five live client workspaces at any one time. |
| Extra engagements | $59 a month each, billed with your licence and prorated. |
| Client workspaces | No subscription, no trial clock, no card. They read their entitlement from your licence. |
The included count is enforced where it matters: creating a sixth client workspace tells you it will add to the bill. It never blocks a workspace that already exists, because the people who would lose access are employees of a company that is not our customer.
What counts as an engagement
An engagement is a live client workspace. One workspace, one engagement, whatever else is going on inside it: how many surveys you run, how many people answer, how long it lasts.
Two things free a slot, immediately:
- The client takes over its own subscription. See Handing a client its own subscription.
- The workspace is closed.
A finished engagement should not keep billing, so the count is of what is live right now rather than of everything you have ever run.
Getting the licence
Two ways in.
- Start a trial and tell ussign up as you normally would, then say you are a consultancy. We turn the licence on. This is the path for the first conversation, and it needs nothing from you but the workspace.
- Buy it from Subscriptionwhen self-serve checkout is enabled, your Subscription page shows the licence beside the ordinary plans and you can buy it there.
Either way the licence lands on the workspace you are signed in to, and the Clients entry appears in the sidebar.
What happens if the licence lapses
Your client workspaces are not deleted and their data is untouched. They resolve their entitlement through your licence, so while it is lapsed they behave like a workspace whose own subscription has expired: people can still sign in and read what is there, and paid features stop until somebody pays.
Any client can take over its own subscription at that point, from its own Subscription page, without asking you. That is deliberate. A client's ability to keep running their survey programme should not depend on your invoice.
What the licence does not change
Nothing about the encryption. Answers are encrypted in each respondent's browser before they reach us, we store ciphertext, and no one at InviziPoll can read an individual response. You can read a client's aggregate results because somebody in that workspace gave you a copy of its key, not because the licence granted it. Ending your access is theirs to do, from Admin → Users.
